Planning Initiatives

The Boston Redevelopment Authority and its consultants, Utile, Greenberg Consultants, HR&A Advisors, and Nelson/Nygaard, spent over a year and a half on the Greenway District Planning Study, which was completed in the Spring of 2010 and adopted by the BRA Board on July 20, 2010.

Now that the Board has adopted the Guidelines, they will be used as part of the City’s Article 80 Development Review Process. At some point in the future, the BRA and City will undertake a public process to codify the Guidelines into Zoning. Please check this webpage periodically for updates.

The Final Guidelines, dated August 2010, their relevant appendices, the district shadow analyses, and the PowerPoint presentations from the public meetings may be found below in the List of Publications. For best results, the Guidelines may be viewed on your computer monitor. If you choose to print them, they are optimized for 11 x 17” paper, set in landscape mode.
