Northeastern University Proposed Institutional Master Plan Amendment and New Dormitories

Northeastern University has proposed to construct two student dormitory buildings, including a dormitory of approximately 500,000 square feet on Parcel 18 in Roxbury, containing roughly 1,200 beds for undergraduate students and a dining facility, and a dormitory of approximately 200,000 square feet on the site of an existing Northeastern building on St. Botolph Street in the Fenway, with approximately 600 residential beds plus common spaces.

In order to construct the new building, Northeastern must complete an amendment to its Institutional Master Plan Amendment, to be approved by the BRA and the Boston Zoning Commission. Northeastern filed an Institutional Master Plan Notification Form/Project Notification Form (IMPNF/PNF) on July 10, 2006.
